Portable Dredge Demonstration:
Road Traveler is a small portable dredge used to demonstrate the benefits of EDDY Pump technology in dredging applications. The dredge features a 6' pump powered by a 160 HP hydraulic power unit. In Texas, the dredge pumped coal tailing slurry with a solids content of 55% by weight. The unit moved 200 cubic yards of material per hour at 1,200 GPM. At a Wyoming site, Road Traveler pumped material with a solids content of 79% by weight with peaks close to 90%. The dredge moved 187 cubic yards of material per hour at a flow rate of 1,000 GPM.
